A Physician’s Personal Experience as a Patient

This week on Healthcare Americana, Freedom Healthworks’ CEO and co-founder, Christopher Habig, spoke with physician, athlete, and beloved citizen, Dr. Ashlie Olp, of Olp Family Medicine in Carmel, IN. Dr. Olp shared her motivations on becoming a Direct Primary Care physician after years of suffering as a patient.

Dr. Olp experienced the nightmare of navigating the health system after a rare condition left her without answers. Facing the prospect of losing her leg, she took matters into her own hands after 10 years of being lost within specialists offices. If she wasn’t a physician, things could’ve turned out much worse.
