Dr. Colin Irish launches Irish Family Practice
MARQUETTE – October 12, 2020 – Irish Family Practice, a new Marquette primary care office using the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, announced the opening of the business led by Colin Irish, DO. Dr. Irish brings decades of experience to the city’s primary care landscape and with the DPC model, care is more accessible than ever. Irish Family Practice launched in conjunction with Freedom Healthworks, a direct primary care services company.
As patients struggle to get prompt, personal medical attention, the DPC model of subscription-based care allows them to access a personal doctor that will collaborate with them on treatment and spend time working with them to get healthy and stay healthy. Dr. Irish is enrolling new patients but will only accept a limited number in order to provide excellent care with no wait times and longer face to face visits. Irish Family Practice relies on telehealth and virtual video visits to care for their patients in the most convenient way possible.
“We are thrilled with the addition of Dr. Irish to the local community. He has a passion for caring for his patients and gets to know them so he can focus on keeping them healthy. He is a perfect fit for the needs of his patients and for Marquette,” says Freedom Healthworks CEO, Christopher Habig.
Colin Irish, DO, was born and raised in Michigan, served in the Marine Corps for four years, attended and graduated from college in Michigan and then went to Medical School in Iowa. There, he developed a talent for diagnosing problems and furthered his dreams. He returned to Michigan for residency and then came to the Upper Peninsula to practice.
Dr. Irish enjoys sitting and listening to his patients and getting to know them. He has also been practicing acupuncture for the last twenty years in addition to Osteopathic Manipulation.
“I believe in people being responsible for their own health. My role is to help people get to the goals they set for themselves and give good advice to help them get there.”
